Is There Any Difference Between Small And Big Wellbutrin Pills?

I have taken wellbutrin at 2 different points to stop smoking. A few years ago they were a small brown pill that worked very well. My last prescription were a much bigger pill and blue coated. Can you please tell me the difference and which one did i take first

Hi,

Wellbutrin contains a drug called bupropion which is also available in quite a few generic versions. The generic versions are not labelled as Wellbutrin but as bupropion. The labels contain the details of the manufacturer as well. Just check the label on the pills you are taking to find out whether you are taking Wellbutrin or a generic version. If both the pills were Wellbutrin, then the larger pill is probably the extended release version. Again, the label will carry this information as well.

Best wishes.
