Is There Any Connection Between TSH Being 7.01 And Increased PSA?
hi, I have a thyroid TSH of 7.01 despite taking 200 pg oroxine daily. I had my prostrate removed 15 mth ago and finished radiation treatment 9 mths ago. My PSA has risen from 0.02 15mths ago to 2.3 now. Is there a relationship between these my TSH and my PSA increase. thanks Joe
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your TSH is high and it is due to hypothyroidism. So you need thyroid supplement for it. It has no relation with PSA. Your PSA is still in normal range and nothing to worry about that. Repeat your PSA at regular basis. Try to maintain your TSH at low normal range.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you very good health.
