Hello
Thanks for writing to us wtih your health concern.
When the
emergency contraceptive pill such as Unwanted 72 is consumed within 72 hours of unprotected sex ( the earlier the better ) it provides protection to quite a reliable extent against
pregnancy.
When taken within 24 hours, as you have done, it protects against pregnancy in more than 95 % of cases.
However going by the date of your last menstrual period, you had unprotected sex around the time of ovulation, which significantly ups your risks of getting pregnant.
After taking the emergency contraceptive, most women experience some kind of withdrawal bleeding, however that is not compulsory.
Not having a bleed does not mean anything either ways.
If you skip your period, then take a pregnancy test to confirm.
However, the emergency contraceptive pill can also delay your cycles by a week, sometimes more.
Just remember that too.
Take care.
