. I am tired all the time and it is due to chronic lyme disease and co infections. I dont sleep normal times, and I am worn down. THe doctors gave me levothyroxine... I am sensitive and I dont feel its right for me. Is there any ayurvedic medicine I can take for this. Very hard to figure out my constitution when my system is so scrambled by chronic long term lyme ive been infected with. Also would Iodine help this?

Hi
Greetings from healthcare magic
if you are hypersensitive to any drug then you can go for alternative system of therapy. Homeopathy can be helpful in your case.

Dear
welcome to healthcaremagic
Obviously ayurveda has solution for you.
Some of the recommended remedies for thyroid condition include:
Coconut oil for hypothyroidism
Practicing yoga; in particular the position Sarvangasna, or the shoulder stand
Include guggul in the diet to stimulate the thyroid, if needed
Other diet suggestions that might help your thyroid condition:
Drink lots of hot ginger tea
Eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables
Avoid dairy and wheat products
Practicing yoga; in particular the position Sarvangasna

Take care Thanks

Homeopath Dr. Anshita Singh Rathore's  Response
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic Forum

Managing a thyorid disorder, esp hypothryoidism involves lifestyle management ( dietary, activity , excercise, stress management) along with medications.

Iodine will help only if there is iodine deficiency.

Hair and skin changes are often associated with thyroid dysfunction, if that condition is controlled then your hair growth on breasts will be checked .

Alternative medication like ayurveda / homoepathy can certainly help with this. But please mention your TSH levels...

For lyme disease and its after effects you can take homeopathy safely.

Takecare.
