Is There An Injection Or A Self Help Alternative To Remove The Scar From Cat Scratch Above The Lip?

I m hoping I can get a injection or something cheap for the scar above my lip where my cat scratch ME,and I can t afford to c some one to help me. I feel like everyone stairs at me and it gives me a very low as k f as team about my self, and u don t want to leave my house.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Scars resulting from scratch/injury can be only improved cosmetically with medicines and can not be erased completely.

In such a case i usually ask my patients to use a topical retinoid e.g tretinoin 0.025 % cream once daily at night. It helps to remodel collagen and can fill up scra somewhat making it less noticeable.

I would advice that you also take a second opinion from a plastic surgeon regarding scar revision which can give cosmetically good results.
