Is There An Alternative Option To Stop Insulin And Substitute With Safe Tablets?

Dear Doctor

I am Type 2 diabetics since last 12 years. I am 44 years now. Initially i was taking Dianil, gludibit earlier and later Glymade forte, Gymade HS, Galvus etc. My doctor advised me to stop all these medicnes and start insulin. Now i am taking insulin and amaryl 2 mg everyday twice. Is there any alternative options to stop insulin and substitute with safe tablets? Can you advise me?

Hello,
After such a long history of diabetes, beta cell mass of pancreas is almost dwindled and hence you can't be treated with oral antidiabetics any longer.Your doctor is right in putting you on injectable insulin as this is the most appropriate treatment for you in present situation.
Thanks
