Hi my name is Sandhya, age 22 from chennai. I have been taking Krimson 35 for past few months for irregular periods. Yesterday I had unprotected sex which was 2 days after my periods got over. Will i get pregnant? I want to avoid pregnancy. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Hi Sandhya, Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns. The contraceptiveKrimson 35 if taken correctly is more than 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. I do not know the duration of your period bleeding. I just want to inform you that the first and the last week of period cycle are safe. Sex during this period will not cause pregnancy. So your chances of pregnancy are almost nil. Since there is a small possibility of method failure, if you miss your period, get a pregnancy test done. I Suggest you practice safe sex ( use condoms) to protect yourself from STDs. I hope this is helpful. If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer. Best wishes, Dr rama
