Is There A Chance Of STD During Protected Sex?
I recently got my annual check up and std, sti, hiv check and found everything came back negative. I haven't had sex since the results..I just had sex on my period with a condom and I stopped bc I am concerned that I could get an std while on my period even with protection. My question is can I get an std while having protected sex on my period?

Thank you for query.During periods there will be more vascularity and chances of erosions in the vagina which can enhance the transmission of HIV/STDs to either of them.So it is always better not to have intercourse during periods.Moreover it may not be pleasurable to either of them during this period.It is better to have protected intercourse like using condoms if either of them have multiple partners.
