1. since you were examined and under specialist observation, thus be under your Doctor's regular supervision.
2. Keratoconus is a degenerative disorder of the cornea and is not familial, however higher refractive errors like pathological myopia are known to be familial, thus I would recommend to screen your baby [in future when pregnant]
3. In keratoconus there is structural defect in the cornea [collagen fibres which held cornea in place becomes weak and causes bulging] and thus cannot be managed by means of alternate system of medicine, and progressive management include:
1. Eye glasses.
2. Contact lenses. [possibly you are in this stage]
3. Surgery [Corneal collagen cross linking]

PS
. Topography guided conductive keratoplasty is also available but more study is needed for this procedure.
. when no therapy provide acceptable vision the last remedy to be considered may be corneal transplant also called as penetrating keratoplasty, even after corneal transplant you most likely will need glasses or contact lenses for clear vision.
