Hi, Doctor my wife is today 15 weeks 1 day pregnant. Today ultrasound informs Placenta is posterior and reaching upto the os. Retroplacental area is clear. FHR: 151BPM, CRL =8.5 CM=14.3 WEEKS, FEMUR LENGTH = 1.5CM=14.3 WEEKS, INTERNAL OS IS CLOSED, LENGTH OF CERVIX= 3.3CM, BPD=1.5CM=15.4 WEEKS, AMNIOTIC FLUID IS SUFFICIENT AND IS UNIFORMERLY DISTRIBUTED. HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it is nothing to worry because it is very common finding seen in ultrasonography which shows the low lying placenta but in later days of gestational period it goes up, but regular follow up is necessary, because it can not be taken lightly even if this is very common condition and seldom needs some medical attention or became emergency hope this information helps.
