Is The Swelling In The Shin And Ankle Related To Back Injury?

I injured my lower back about 12 years ago. I have a herinated disk, over the years I have noticed other things going on. I have over active bladder and now recently I have swollen in my shins and ankle when I push on it it leaves a indent, Are all these related from my back injury?
