Is The Swelling In Ear And Neck Side Effect Of Ear Lobe Removal?

I had a growth removed off of the back of my ear lobe on Friday by a dermatologist. He then cauterized it to stop the bleeding. Since then my ear has remained swollen (about three times its normal size). I also have swelling in my neck and blisters on my ear. Is this typical side effects for the procedure?
