Is The Severe Cough Due To The Dust In The House Or Should I Be Concerned?

I live with my boyfriends mom with my boyfriend her house is soooooo dusty its unbelievable like piles of dust lay in the vents. And a week after I moved in I developed a bad cough and now its worse to the point where after coughing I feel like I'm going to puke. Is my cough because of the house and should I go to the doctor?

Hi, you seem to be having allergy from the dust and most common allergen is usually house dust mite. Please get the house cleaned and regularly do vacuum cleaning. The treatment involves bronchodilators and may be steroid inhalers in consultation with a doctor. But if the offending factor that is the dust will be there, the problem will persist. Regards
