hello ,
as u have been taking oxycontin (oxycodone ,,an opioid analgesic..)available as10,15,20,30,40,60,80 mg..)they are good pain killers but do have addiction potencial and side effects which can be lifethreatening...
remember that dosage of these drugs vary from person to person and in the same person from time to time,,,depending on the original problem/disease and general status(liver, heart, respiration, kidneys and other organ functioning)...
as you mentioned the dose which was enough previously is not enough now ,,,you need to consult your regular doctor to increase the dose,or add another drug ,or any alternative (like patches ..stick to skin to release pain killer for few hrs to days,,effective and relatively safe),,,depending on your condition the dr will decide what is best for you......
best wishes..bye
