Had an abortion last night, the baby came out but i cant remove the cord so i cut it. Now there s a cord still hanging outside my vagina connected inside my body. I want to know what s happening inside me and what will i do? I dont feel anything like pain or cramps and i dont have fever either. Is the placenta still inside my body?

Hello,
It means that you probably still have retained products either in the uterus or vagina. If you induced the abortion all by yourself, you should immediately take the help of a specialist to sort out the situation. A proper clinical examination will help to know the exact situation. It is fortunate that there is no bleeding at present; it can happen anytime if you neglect. Please maintain genital hygiene. After the needed procedure a follow up sonogram is needed to ensure completion of the process. Hope this helps.
