Is The Hollow Spot Near Tibia After A Hit A Possible Ligament Damage ?

Hello
I was hit by a hockey puck, just below and to the right of my right knee...in the kind of hollow spot where the soft spot meets tibia/fibula...seems like puck maybe hit me right off of the head of my bone. There was instant lump just above impact point...this was a week ago,and bone is VERY tender to the touch...still a bit of swelling in knee, but my concern is that my calf is swollen now...not in an incredible amount of pain, other than the impact point, but wondering about possible ligament damage(PCL)??Bone bruise maybe?? Seems silly i havent had it looked at yet,but i work 60hrs weekly and it hasnt really affected my ability to function...pain really not my issue, but swelling in calf just got me thinking...any feedback greatly appreciated!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
If you are able to walk without pain but swelling in calf i think you need not to worry that may be just due to contusion or bruise which may take 15 to 20 days to cure. Apply ice over it and keep your legs elevated when you sleep.
Just get x ray to rule out any fracture.
If you had pcl injury your gait would be painful and it would not create swelling in the calf.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
