Is The Blood Glucose Level After Ingestion Suggestive Of Diabetes?

My blood glucose was 92 before breakfast. I ate a bowl of fruit, oatmeal with milk and no sugar, a glass of tomato juice, two slices of rye toast with butter, a cup of latte and one Italian cookie. Two hours after I ate, my blood glucose rose to 130. Is that bad? Does that mean I have diabetes?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir/madam i can understand your concern.
in my opinion your blood sugar reports are normal
i would like to tell you about diagnostic criteria of diabetes to improve your outlook towards diabetes.
the diagnosis of diabetes requires one of the following:

• A fasting glucose ≥ 126 mg/dL;

• A hemoglobin A1c level ≥ 6.5%;

• A random glucose level > 200 mg/dL in a markedly symptomatic patient(symptoms like increased urination,thirst,weight loss,blurred vision and non healing ulcers.

regards
