Is Temporal Lobe Lobectomy Effective In The Treatment Of Epilepsy?
How effective is Temerol Lobe Lobectomy? ... I have had TLE since 1986, and I will be 57 yrs old on May 21st. My surgery is scheduled for May 2nd, 2017 I had GKS Aug. 2012 and a VNS implant Feb. 2015 and I am still having break through seizures. I take 5 different anti-epileptic meds daily
Temporal lobelobectomy is a well-established procedure to treat epilepsy with very good results. It is well indicated in the management of patients whose seizures originate from the temporal lobe as anti-epileptic drugs alone may not always be enough.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
