Is Taking Metformin For Insulin Resistance Related To Thyroid?

Hi ,do you think that if I have been treated couple years ago for hypothyroidsm and early hashimoto`s dissease,(but I am not taking any pills anymore)becouse doctor said my blood work is fine. and now I have to take metformin for insulin resistance, that this can has something to do with thyroid?

Insulin is a hormone made by your pancreas. It allows your cells to use glucose (sugar) for energy.
People with insulin resistance have cells that don’t use insulin effectively
It’s not entirely clear why some people develop insulin resistance and others don’t. Being overweight or obese are the leading risk factors. A sedentary lifestyle can also cause insulin resistance, especially if you’re also overweight.
Hypothyroidism can cause isnuline resistance only if left untreated, indirectly by causing overweight.
