Is Taking Medication Safe During Pregnancy?

Dear doctor,

I'm 14 weeks pregnant. I'm having some spotting since 2 days. My doctor did the ultrasound and said its because of irritation inside the uterus. She has prescribed 'Duphaston' dydrogesterone 10mg, twice daily, for a month. Kindly advice me if its safe to have this drug for a month in pregnancy.
