Is Taking TT Injection For Being Bitten By Vaccinated Dog Enough Treatment?

My 70 years old father was bitten by a street dog last some 24 hours back on back of thigh . I took him to hospital after 2 hrs (lightly bleeding on injured area), Doctor has given one dose TT injection. Dog also up to date well vaccinated. So How TT injection is enough to this dog bite or any other treatment is required

Hello,
If the dog is vaccinated properly then there is no need danger of any rabies.
Injection TT would confer immunity against tetanus,however there could be local bacterial infection of wound,which would require proper sterile dressing of wound along with a proper antibiotic course.
