Is Taking Gabapentin Or Imipramine Advisable For Labial Pain?

Yes. I m going to increase my Elavil dose per my doctor for vestibulitis /vulvadynia symptoms. If not more effective he suggested Gabapentin or imipramine, in that order. I wanted to know more about which might be more effective for my burning, labial pain.

Thanks for asking at Healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Labial pain is due to stress and neuropathy. I would prefer imipramine as it controls both.
All that you have to do is to avoid soap, douches, gently clean vulva with water, Use K-Y jelly after intercourse, wear loose fitting cotton clothes, Do mediation and relaxation excersizes. avoid hot bath.
Hope it helps best.
