Is Taking Clomid An Effective Medicine For Ovulation?

I am seeing Gynae again in a few weeks and he has said that as my periods have not returned since the Prostap was given In August last year (one 12 week dose) and now we have a small window of time in which to try and conceive until I will have to have hysterectomy he will start me on some tablets what are these likely to be? Clomid?

Hello,
If your doctor meant medication for inducing ovulation, then it is likely that it is Clomiphene. You have been prescribed Prostap to treat endometriosis, you did not mention how serious your problem is and if hysterectomy has been decided as the only solution. Conception, in itself, in such a situation is difficult and if you wish to conceive, assistance is necessary. This is perhaps why your doctor wanted to give medication for inducing ovulation. Further opinion can be given only if you furnish complete details. Hope this helps.
