Is Taking Afdura Advisable Instead Of Urimax-D For Frequent Urination?
My prostate weighs about 28.00 gms, postvoid residual urine 45.00 cc ; my problem is frequently urinating at night disturbing my sleep. My age is 78 years. As per advice of doctor , I was taking Urimax D for last 3 months. Previous to that I took Urimax 0.4 mg 3/4 years. Since there is no apparent improvement recently my doctor has advised for Capsule Afdura. I do not understand whether I should change the medicine or continue with Urimax D for another 2/3 months. Please advice

Hi welcome to HCM I can understand your concern for suffering from frequent urination at night . Though It is a normal process of ageing .
In my point of view , meds which don't give you any relief should not be continued , of course with your doctor's advice ,
For your info , gulping on only meds don't help get cure unless you modify your life style and food habits which may help you to strengthen your nervous system and alley your problem .
You can change your med according to your doctor's advice
HOPE THIS HELPS SOLVE YOUR QUERY .
