Is Swollen Red Foot And Leg A Symptom Of Back Injury?

I recently fractured my L4 vertebrae. I have osteoporosis. I am a 68 yr. old man. I have had other fractures in the spine in the past that have healed. I have been pretty sedentary for about 3 months. My lower leg and foot are really swollen and red (LEFT). Twice the size of the right foot. But it is a little swollen. Is this a symptom from my back injury?

Hello Sir,
please see a doctor ASAP. This could be a thrombosis of the leg veins which needs to be treated. It is a common condition after operations/immobilisations and can be treated. However, it can be very dangerous in some cases when the blood clot from your leg veins is dislocated to the lungs. Therefore please do not hesitate and see a doctor now.
