Is Swollen Anus After Removal Of Anal Skin Tags Normal?

I had a anal skin tags removed about a week and a half ago. They were removed under local anesthetic and with a laser. The post op pain hasn t been bad, but when I look at the area, it looks horrible. It looks worse than it did prior to having the tags removed. It is very swollen still and honestly looks like the anus is inside out. Is this normal? How long does this last?

hi. as per your history u may have developed an ulcer at the site of that removed tag or there may be associated internal piles which may have begun to appear. As you have not mentioned about blood in stool or constipation, you should get a proctoscopy. and should also start hot sitz bath. if its a simple ulcer proper hygiene it would heal within 2 weeks.
