Is Swelling And Itching A Week After Being Stung By Bee Normal?

I stepped on a bee and got stung a week ago in between my big and second toes. Removed the stinger but we were at the beach so my husband had to pull the stinger out w his fingers. It's been on and off itching and swelling w the night through morning being the worst times. Last night it started swelling again and still swollen and itching this morning. I've been taking benedryl, rubbing calamine lotion and trying to keep ice on it which us the only way to stop the itching. The red area has stayed pretty localized to the front area of my foot. Is it normal to still be reacting and swelling a week later? I had a scratch allergy test done many years ago and they told me I was allergic and gave me an epipen. I didn't have that type of reaction but it's been pretty miserable not to be able to be on the foot for long periods of time and the summer heat which seems to make it swell up over and over again. Just wondering if this is normal and at what point if any I need to seek a doctor? What would a doctor do? How long can this reaction last?
