Is Sweating After Flu Infection And Pleurisy Normal?

I have had a bad dose of the flu and pleusy been off work for nearly three weeks now. Starting to feel better but still waking up in the nignt wet through with sweat having to change nignt wear and bedding. Is this common after a bad infection and how long should it go on for

Excessive sweating is called hyperhidrosis it could be primary in some individuals. It could be due to various causes like infections and cancers. Sweating may accompany hot flashes during the menopausal transition. In your case it is likely due to infection. You can take prescription antiperspirants like Robinul or botox if it is bothering too much. I believe it will go in sometime on its own. But you can visit a local doctor.
