Is Surgery Necessary To Get Rid Of Sinus Headache?

Hello Doctor, Good Morning.. I m suffering from severe headache due to sinus problem. almost 10 years back, I had a FESS surgery. Now the same ENT specialist is asking me to admit for another surgery.. So my question here, in future again and again I ve to go for this surgery or is there anyway to completely solve my sinus issues?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sinus headache, well the symptoms you mention in query pointing towards severe sinus infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis without any delay to prevent the further complication. Doctor may order CT scan x-ray and nasal endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin or penicillin at least for 10 days along with decongestant and expectorant. Surgery could be done only after proper prescription by doctor. For now take steam thrice a day to relieve the congestion and apply warm compresses on face and take anti allergic like benadryl.
