Is Surgery Helpful In Recovering A Polio Affected Leg?

Dear Sir, I have attacked by polio at the age of 3 hence my left leg and right hand affected. Basically my hip got affected thus while I walk then bending in front but I can cycling, swimming, riding bike even also can play football and cricket. Now I want to surgery my affected leg to overcome in bending ness. please suggest. Now my age is 32.

I think you want to improve hand to knee gait. Ther are many ways to improve it and one of them is extension osteotomy of distal femur. But we have to assess muscle function first so as to fit better outcome. I would advise visit to expert musculoskeletal expert and get yourself examined. All the best
