Is Surgery For Hernia Possible Through Laparoscopy?

Hi, My mother is suffering from Hernia for the last 2 months. She had previously 4 surgeries i.e, two ceasarean operations, one to remove weakened uterus and the last one in 2011 was to remove some gelly mass in ovaries. Now she is suffering from hernia. Is there any possibility to repair hernia for her through laproscopy or is it must that it should be done only through open surgery? If so, is it very urgent to undergo such surgery immediately or we can wait?

you did not mention what kind of hernia she is suffering from or where is it located....neither about its size or whether she experiences any pain or not...

anyways laparoscopic hernia surgery is very much possible and is routinely undergone these days...the time of the surgery depends on the symptoms and the size of the hernia and also the distress it is causing and the age and general condition of the patient that whether he/she can undergo the surgical procedure....

so kindly let me know regarding all the things i have asked for...
