Is Surgery Advisable For Achilles Tendon Causing Severe Pain In Calf?

I am awaiting to see if I need an operation on my Achilles tendon but today I have a quite large hard lump which gets bigger as the days goes However today it hurts quite bad every time I take a step to walk it is painful and my calf hurts. Should I go to casualty

if it is tendon rupture tendinitis the surgical repair can be done. other wise medical treatment crepe bandage warm phomantation and rest can help in recovery.immobilization will help in quick recovery
