Is Subcision With Laser Better Treatment For Acne Scars With No Help From Microdermabrasion And Microneedle Rf?
hello sir i have acne scars on my face.my cosmetologist treated it with 4 sittings of micro dermabrasion and 4 sittings of microneedle rf...but until now there is no improvement.now he says subcision coupled with laser wud give a better result...may i know ur thoughts on this pls?..am i wastin my money r else do u think laser skin resurfacing and subcision wud giv a better result?pls help me.. tanx in advance, Prasan

Subscision and Laser is a good option for acne scars. Microdermabrasion and microneedle RF are milder treatments for the acne scars. Usually a dermatologist or a cosmetologist will give a milder treatment first and then try out a higher one. THis is completely ok. But you should be absolutely strict about sunprotection during the procedure. Sunscreen, preferably 30-50SPF should be used every 3 hours to get optimal protection. Also type of laser used in the treatment for acne scars will directly affect the outcome. Following is the list of laser from The Best to the less desirable (up to down)
1. Fractional CO2 Laser
2. Fractional Er: YAg LAser
3. Fractional Nonablative ND YAg
4. Fractional Erbium Glass Laser
=THere are many more but the above are the most commonly used lasers for acne scars.
