Is Strengthening Of The Spine Required After Microdisectomy?

What if any rehab is suggested to strengthen the spine and/or muscle area after a post (L5 S1) microdisectomy which took place about 6 weeks ago? I am a 77 year old male who would like to resume playing tennis. I have no pain just a slight weakness in the lower spine when exercising.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The strengthening exercises of the spine are necessary after spine surgery to regain the muscle tone and to prevent any further deterioration or degenerative changes.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
