Is Stomach Pain And Vomiting Sign Of GERD Or Viral Gastritis?

my son has been having stomach aches with vomiting for over a week. He has had 2 blood tests, 2 urine test and an xray and nothing showed up abnormal. he is still having these pains, he drinks zantac 150 and anti nausea but nothing seem to help. any suggestions. his doctors think GERD, VIRAL gastritis but no one si able to make a certain diagnosis,

Thanks for your query.
Noted history and understood the concerns.
Stomach ache with vomiting can be due to intestinal conditions hence Ranitidine and antacids are not working properly.
For getting a correct diagnosis you will have to do further tests as blood, urine and X-ray are already done.
Upper GI Endoscopy.
Barium swallow and meal or CT scan of abdomen if required may be needed.
Also get the stool tests so that any intestinal infection if present can be diagnosed.
Clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist can help further.
All these things together can get a proper diagnosis and gives proper management.
Continue Ranitidine, get a prescription for Domperidone and continue antacids every three hours particularly when on empty stomach.
If the stomach virus is present it will get corrected on its own and is diagnosed only if all the tests are normal.
