Is Sore Throat And Body Ache Symptom Of HIV?

Hi, ive been sick for the last week! I started to get better on friday, but then I went out on saturday and I was outside in the freezing cold and rain waiting for a taxi for about an hour! Later on that night I had unprotected sex! I woke up the next morning with a sore throat and had alot of them. I started to get a little aches and pains that day! is it me just getting sick again or should I be worried that it might be hiv?

Hi, HIV does not cause specific symptoms so you can't HIV judge by symptoms.
You had indulged in a high risk activity and so you need to get tested for HIV at an ICTC (Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre) where they will counsel you, take blood for testing of HIV with consent . This way not only you learn about HIV to allay the fears , your status but also develop a support system for you in case
you need some at crisis .

Unprotected sex may cause hiv. But in your case your symptoms ard not due to hiv. Hiv cant producd symptoms overnight. So consult doctor for your symptoms. And do hiv test after a month to ensue yourself that youate safe.
