Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

If you have been having unprotected sex, there is a possibility you could have conceived.

However, pregnancy symptoms also vary widely between women, and the symptoms that are commonly associated with pregnancy like nausea, bloating, breast tenderness and spotting can also indicate PMS or an irregular ovulatory cycle.

But the most common sign of pregnancy is missing your period. So if you are not yet due for your cycle, you need to wait at least 10 days from conception to perform a pregnancy test. Over-the-counter pregnancy tests are extremely accurate, and will become positive within 10-14 days after conception.

So at this point, it is too early to determine if you are pregnant, and pregnancy cannot be diagnosed based on symptoms. I encourage you to try to be patient and perform a pregnancy test if your cycle is delayed or missed.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
