Is Sleep Apnea & PTSD Correlated?

I have a service connected disability of sinusitis and PTSD. I was recently diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. Is there a correlation between these? If so, where can I find documentation so that I may use it for a compensation (disability) claim with the VA?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

There is a relation between obstructive sleep apnea and any disorder of the upper airways. Sinuses are part of the upper airways system, so their inflammation, sinusitis, causes obstruction hence linked to obstructive sleep apnea. This is a matter well known and accepted as obstructive sleep apnea cause, upper airway issues are listed as a cause of sleep apnea in any possible source referring to this condition, so no particular documentation is necessary.
As for PTSd, the answer is no, it doesn't have a correlation with sleep apnea, only sinusitis does.
