Is Sexual Intercourse Safe While On Treatment For Lymph Node TB?

Hello my wife is undergoing treatment for lymph node TB from past 25 days and here our doctor said there is no reason to worry as it non spreadable and we can happily live with proper medication. My main question is whether we can indulge in sexual activities during this treatment period or need to wait for certain duartion

Thanks for writing in.

It depends where your spouse has the TB other than the lymphnodes. If it's in your genital system (which is rare these days) then you shouldn't have sex with your spouse unless your specialist says it's alright. You can’t get TB from sexual intercourse or through kissing. However, if your partner has had long cough he/she can have TB. If you spend long time with him/her it is possible to get TB. Just having lymphnode TB is not communicable and since 25 days are over, there is less likelihood of transmission. However it is best to discuss regarding any genital TB in your wife.
