Is Severe Itching Sensation In The Vaginal Area A Symptom Of Menopause?

Hello, I am a 53 year old menopausal woman. Two years ago I trusted guy I was dating and contracted genitel herpes. I haven t had any outbreaks since my first horrible one two weeks after I agreed to have unprotected sex with him. Asked him about it, he denied it, he was my first partner in 31/2 years!! Went to doctor, etc. I haven t been sexually active since. Anyway, last week or so I have been dealing with a horrible itch in my clitoris area only. Another symptom, I m having, a heavy odd smelling discharge. Would this be an outbreak or a menopausal thing?? I m sure it s not a yeast infection because I know how those feel as I have had a couple of those in the past when taking antibiotics. You re advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It can be due to vaginal fungal infection for which you can take some antibiotic preferably cefadroxyl or moxikind-cv after an expert opinion along with avil or cetrizine for itching. You can take Fole 150 mg or use clingen-forte vaginal pessary to put into the vagina once daily for at-least 5 days. Maintain the hygiene of private part by regular washing or use v-wash vaginal.
