Hi,
Intercourse just before a period in a 28-30 day cycle is safe as the fertile period is over by then. As such, there is no need to use the emergency pill at all. The pain could be due to an impending period or the possibility of a withdrawal bleed usually seen after using the pill. Please watch for your cycle and if you do not see it even after ten days, please get help from a specialist for further management. Emergency pills contain high hormone dose and hence lead to hormonal imbalance; please try to restrict their use to only a couple of times a year. Hope this helps.
