Is Serum Test With A Range Of 17% Be Hyperthyroidism?
I am 33 years old male. Recently I got my blood tested for Thyroid. In T3 T4 results were under normal range but in Serum test it came more than the normal range. It came 17% against normal range of 8%. Am I hyperthyroid.
I have read your question completely and understand your concerns.
I am assuming by "Serum Test", you mean TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone). If this is correct, then you are most likely having sub-clinical hypothyroidism where the T3 and T4 are in normal range, but the TSH is raised.
You are on the right medication for it. Please continue with your Thyronorm and get your TSH rechecked in 6-8 weeks time.
I hope this answer has helped you
