Is Recurrance Of Cancer While Being Treated With Chemo Normal?

hi doctor. my father has been treated with cancer surgery in his left cheek in feb 2006. but 15 days ago we found reccurrence in his jaw.his lymph nodes and necks are appears to be normal. now he is being treated with chemotherapy. so i just want to know how do you see this case???? n wats ur suggestion???

Recurrence of cheek cancer after 6 years of surgery without any nodal involvement isnt that bad a prognosis. Chemotherapy or re-surgery might be helpful depending on size and site of the recurrent cancer.
