Is "mirena Iud" Responsible Menstrual Bleeding On Alternate Days?

Hi, I have been experiencing some changes in my menstrual cycle. From Dec. 1 I have beeb bleeding every other day with it ending completely every other day and start back up. First the blood was bright red, then it went to brown well, now its orange. I've had more cramps than usual as well. Also, im on the mirena iud, not sure if it has anything to do with it. Is this normal or should I see my dr.?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild intermittent bleeding on alternate days can be due to mirena IUD. This usually happens for the first two weeks after inserting it in the uterine cavity.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
