Is Prescribing Lupi Hcg Injection The Right Treatment If Sac Is Not Found In The Uterus During Pregnancy?

Sir, I have done urine test after 4th week. the result was positive. Then I consult a gynaecologist and he told me to do blood test and USG. After USG he found no sac in the uterus. He advised me to take Lupi hcg 5000 injection weekly for two weeks and progesterone tablets. He also told me the chances as 60-40. Is it the right process to treat this kind of problem or in this case pregnancy can be success.

Hello and welcome.

The sac not being seen at 4 weeks is nothing to worry about as it can appear a little later in pregnancy. In my opinion, the hCG injections were prescribed because yours might be a threatened pregnancy. This can be due to various factors and the cause once noted may warrant the use of hCG injections and progesterone pills.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
