This pill should be taken ideally within 24 hours, however gives protection against pregnancy even if it is taken within 72 hours of intercourse. Since this pill contains higher amounts of hormones, the expected period may be delayed for some tome. If it is delayed more than 10 days, then better get urine pregnancy test performed. If it is positive and you do not want this pregnancy, you may terminate the pregnancy safely and effectively up to 9 weeks duration by medicines Mifepristone and Misoprostol.
