Is Pregnancy Possible With Just One Fallopian Tube?

2 week before I have undergone laparotomy and my right fallopian tube was removed due to fallopian tube rupture and internal bleeding. The doctor told that it was an ectopic pregnancy. The doctor asked to give the removed tube and feteus for biopsy. My biopsy results showing fallopian tube with edema,hemmorage with chorionic villi and thropoblast. Is it anything to worry kindly advise. Can I conceive with left fallopian tube. I am scared whether the same my occur to the left side tube. Is my biopsy result fine.

Hello,

It is possible to be pregnant while having one functional fallopian tube. Both of the ovaries provide ovum, fallopian tubes are responsible for transferring ovum (or in more common term; eggs) to uterus. I advise you to be careful in your next pregnancies. Due to increased risk of ectopic pregnancy, you must be wary about early symptoms such as severe sharp pain, prolonged or severe bleeding, etc. If you don't want more child, you must consider contraception methods.
