Is Pregnancy Possible While On Regestrone?

hi , i am 6 months married woman . I tool regestrone 2 tab to postpone my periods on 29th and 30th of october . I had unprotected intercourse with my husband during this tenure . I havent got my periods yet , my last period had started on 3rd october. Are there any chances of pregnancy ?

Hi.

Regesterone is not a contraceptive ('birth control pill") hence pregnancy is possible while taking it.

It is just a progesterone (hormone) containing pill which is basically used to regularize the irregular menses or to postpone or prepone the periods.

Since you had an unprotected sex and your periods are already delayed so, it is best have a pregnancy test done at home and consult a gynecologist for follow up.
