Is Pregnancy Possible While On Nuvaring?

Hi! So I have been on Nuvaring for a few months. My last period started on June 11 and ended June 16. I inserted a Nuvaring on the 17th. I messed up and had unprotected sex on the 21st (before having the Nuvaring in for 7 days). Am I at risk for pregnancy? And if so, what should I do now? How long before I can take a pregnancy test?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
After the insertion of Nuvaring, you need to use other modes of contraception like condom and spermicides during intercourse in the first 2 weeks.
If not, there is a risk for you to become pregnant. You need to wait till you get your periods. If you get your periods, then you would be safe.
If there is delay in your periods, kindly take urine pregnancy test after a week and seek medical advise promptly.
