Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Unprotected Intercourse After Menstruation?

Hello sir, i am a 21 years mother of a 6 month old. i dont want another baby until my baby becomes 2 years since i plan to breastfeed her for 2 years. the problem is me and my husband had sex last thursday without any protection. Since then, i am very tensed thinking if i had become pregnant or not without any reason. My last menstrual period was on 30th november. Normally we use condomns. but on that day we dint use anything as we have read that first week and last week after periods is safe. but still there are chances right? so what i want is to know what percent possibility is there of me getting pregnant? which food items can prevent from getting pregnant. i dont want to do abortion if for unfortunate i am pregnant. when i consulted doctor she said u have to wait until next periods to know. I dont want to know it, i just want to not get pregnant because of that day. any reliefing answer sir?

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Generally pregnancy is not possible when unprotected sex was done in the safe period of cycle.
But it also depend on the length of the menstrual cycle.
If you have short cycle then pregnancy can be possible as sperm can live in the genital tract for 4-6 days and this time if ovulation occur, pregnancy can be possible.
Blood HCG detect the pregnancy earliest 12-14 days after the sexual intercourse.
So you can go for blood HCG and otherwise wait for period to come.
If period will delay by the 8-10 days from the normal expected period date then go for pregnancy test and or blood HCG to confirm the pregnancy.
With in 72 hours of sex you can use I pill to prevent the pregnancy.

No any food prevent the pregnancy.
If you will pregnant , then intrauterine pregnancy can be terminated by abortion pill under the advise of gynecologist.
Hope this may help you
